Known during his NED days as Tanweer Mohammadi (a pen-name), Tanweer was a successful multi-lingual public speaker, who brought many laurels to NED. He was the Editor, English, The Young Engineer and was elected Publication Secretary in 1974, whereby he founded “Hammer”, a wall-magazine, in addition to publishing Maimar (monthly newspaper) and The Young Engineer (annual magazine).
He Graduated in 1979 (Civil) and joined the Karachi Development Authority, as an Asst Exec Engineer, working on the Civic Center, Karachi, before moving on to NESPAK, (in July 1980), where he worked until coming to the United States in January 1988.
Chosen by Rotary International as a Rotary Scholar and Ambassador of Goodwill; Tanweer attended the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, earning a Master of Science degree in Construction Engineering & Management in December 1988.
Tanweer then moved to Chicagoland where he worked in Program and Construction Management with Architectural, Consulting, and Engineering Firms on a wide variety of building projects. In 2003 Tanweer formed ASR Associates, a consulting firm partnering with its clients in Program, Project, Construction & Management Solutions.
Tanweer has been active as an Alumnus and has been instrumental in the formation and establishment of *. NEDEA of Greater Chicago (1996), serving as its Chairman, 2001-2002

Tanweer is married to Samina (BE Elect, 1980). They are blessed with three wonderful children and a 3-year old grandson.
