NON-MEMBER ALUMNI ASSOCIATIONS

1. NED Alumni of Texas (Dallas) – NEDEAN

EDEAN is an organization of NED Alumni residing in the Dallas-Fortworth area was formed in January 2014. Its aim is to promote the interests and status of NED as a world-class engineering institution by strengthening ties and communication among its alumni, students, faculty (past and present), patrons, and friends of NED. Some of the other objectives of NEDEAN is to support education for the underprivileged, promote larger NED community integration in the US and raise awareness amongst alumni to become useful resources for the benefit of the community at large. Since its inception, NEDEAN has organized a number of events and activities in the DFW area. Additionally, to its credit, NEDEAN, in partnership with NEDA-Texas (Houston) hosted a very successful NED 2016 Texas – 12^th International Alumni Convention in Brook Hollow (Houston), TX in September of 2016.

The Organization is headed by a seven-member Board of Directors. The current Board consists of the following:

2. NED Alumni Association of Canada – NEDAC

NED Alumni Association Canada (NEDAC) was formed in 2006 to provide a platform for NEDUET’s alumni in Canada to engage with each other and in turn support the growth of the network. With more than 700 members, NEDAC is today the largest alumni association of a Pakistani educational institution outside Pakistan. NEDAC has been known as one of the most vibrant and influential alumni associations in Canada. Since its inception, NEDAC has continually evolved to align with the needs of its members and the changing dynamics of the environment we operate in, spearheaded by advancements in technology. This has been made possible by the ongoing commitment and dedication of its members and leadership. NEDAC
operates under a board of directors.

The selected board forms different committees either from inside or outside of the board to run its operation. Each of the committees sets out targets and work together to achieve them. The focus of NEDAC has been to support all alumni in Canada in forming their career paths in their
fields of interest. The Association’s Career Guidance Committee continues to provide mentorship to our members to help them with job search, skills upgrade, and obtaining professional designations. In addition, NEDAC holds multiple events in a year. From technical seminars and webinars to traditional festival celebrations, annual dinners, musical evenings and sports events, it aims to offer diverse programs to our members.

Amongst many other ways of giving back to NEDUET, one that shines out is NEDAC Scholarships – Scholarship program for NEDUET students was initiated by NEDAC Board, 2016- 2018. It focused to help low-income families reduce financial burden of providing quality education to their children. With the continued financial support from our members in Canada and beyond, we have been able to help deserving students achieve their dreams.
