Afzaal graduated from NED in 1984 with a degree in Civil Engineering, followed by a Certified in Construction Management in Illinois. In the USA, Afzaal worked for various Construction firms and in August 2004, he formed MCLL, a General Contracting and Engineering firm.
Also, he establishes NASH in Texas During his twenty-five years of professional career, he has managed and built several outstanding high-profile buildings, transportation projects, transit systems, and FEMA disaster service projects of over a billion dollars in Illinois. In 2010, he introduced an energy-saving program of solar panel construction & installation with cost-effectiveness, predictability & reliability in the United States market. He has received several Professional Recognition and Excellence Awards. Afzaal is also active in professional as well as socio-political organizations.

Afzaal Founder & first Board member of NEDIAN-NA he was the first Treasurer & Vice Chairman of NED International Alumni Network, North America NEDIAN-NA, Afzaal Founder & Past Chairman of NEDEA – Greater Chicago, Also He is founder of NEDEAN Alumni Association of Texas (Dallas) and NED Alumni Association of Texas ( Houston) NEDA Texas.

Afzaal has married his wife Naheed, two daughters, Adeeba and Saba, and son Hayan.
