NED Alumni Association of Michigan NAAM
Detroit -Michigan is home to hundreds of active and passionate NEDians , some of them work for Big Three Automotive OEM’s General Motors, Ford, Fiat-Chrysler, and some own businesses. The desire to form a local NEDian chapter was always there, however, the First NEDIAN-NA convention in Michigan which took place in September 2017, galvanized this effort. Many thanks to the local steering committee members of the convention who took responsibility for the local chapter. They wrote chapter bylaws and organized a successful NAAM General body meeting on Oct 14, 2017. More than thirty-five founding members attended the general body meeting. They approved NAAM bylaws and formed an election committee. Fair and free elections took place under the supervision of the election committee and the current NAAM board was elected in Nov 2017.
NAAM has been registered with the state of Michigan in 2017. Currently, they are pursuing to get non-profit 501 C3 status and targeting to achieve this goal by mid of 2018.
