Shahbaz Zubairi

Alumni Association: NED Alumni Association of Tri-State (NEDATS)

Shahbaz Zubairi graduated from NED University of Engineering and Technology in 1989 with the BS degree in Computer Systems – batch of 1984 Second Shift. Computer Systems Engineering was introduced in 1983; Shahbaz joined the second batch of this exciting area of technology. Shahbaz was among the prominent students of his class as he was involved in studies and extracurricular activities with the same energy and passion.

After graduating from NED, Shahbaz started his professional career in Karachi, working for multinational companies such as Pakistan Petroleum Limited and Shell Pakistan Limited. He led large teams and successfully rose to a management position within a few years. Shahbaz was recognized as a young leader while he was serving as the Head of Infrastructure Services in Shell Pakistan. He immigrated to the US in 1999 and reincarnated his career in the US market as a trusted advisor in the IT consultancy field. Shahbaz has previously worked for major consultancy firms such as Accenture, Deloitte and IBM.

Shahbaz has been an active participant of NED alumni association (NEDATS) since its inception. Initially, he served two full terms on the board of directors from 2010 thru 2016 and later led NEDATS as President from 2019 thru 2022. Currently, he holds the position of Finance Secretary on the NEDATS board of directors. During his tenure with NEDATS, Shahbaz was instrumental in organizing the NED Alumni Conventions in 2011 and 2022 held in New Jersey,
